After 20 years of practicing and teaching Western medicine, Ms. Candi Parkin went to China. There she studied under the masters of Eastern medicine, learning acupuncture and herbal medicine. She has a Masters degree in Oriental Medicine, is board certified in acupuncture, and is a Registered Nurse. Candi has a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Health Arts. In addition to her offices in Hoffman Estates and Downers Grove, Ms. Parkin is a member of the medical staff of Saint Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Haifan Yang is a licensed acupuncturist in Illinois and is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois, where she received a Master of Science degree in acupuncture.
Born and raised in China, Haifan combines her experiences of Oriental medicine with her training in Western health sciences to provide patients with a broad perspective in healthy lifestyle and dietary counseling. Haifan believes that the goal of healing is to assist the patient to bring about energetic balance as a whole person - physical, emotional and spiritual.
Haifan has three years of internship at the Whole Health Center of National University of Health Sciences treating patients with various conditions. She has a special interest in treating issues pertaining to pain conditions, women’s health, and pediatrics. She is also specially trained in cosmetic acupuncture. She is dedicated to working with patients with gentle acupuncture techniques to restore and improve their health and well being.
